Saluda River Academy for the Arts (SRAA) is proud to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, observed annually from September 15 through October 15. This month provides an opportunity to recognize and honor the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans.
Throughout the month, SRAA students and staff will engage in activities that highlight Hispanic heritage through art, music, dance, literature, and classroom learning experiences. Our news show is spotlighting an important Hispanic figure each day, our students created colorful papel picados to docorate our halls, we hosted a fun, engaginging, and art filled Hispanic Heritage Night, and each class is exploring a different Hispanic country and transforming our school into a cultural tour for students to explore and learn!
These activities help foster cultural awareness, appreciation, and understanding while celebrating the diversity that strengthens our school community.
As an arts-focused school, SRAA is committed to embracing the many cultures that inspire creativity and learning. National Hispanic Heritage Month offers a meaningful opportunity for students to explore the traditions, achievements, and artistic contributions of Hispanic communities while building connections that promote respect and inclusion for all.
