Lexington School District Two students posted gains on 2026 SC School Report Cards released October 12 by the SC Department of Education, with the majority of district schools attaining “Good” to “Excellent” ratings in year-over year growth, and half of the district’s schools improving their overall rating over last year. “We are proud of the strides our students and schools have made, and these results reflect the hard work of our students, teachers, school leaders, staff, and families across Lexington Two,” Superintendent Dr. Angela Cooper said, noting "there is still important work ahead." EARN YOUR SHIRT DAY!
Yesterday, our RUN HARD team reached a very import milestone! They are mid way through the season and they ran the neighborhood for 1.5 miles (half of the 5K race they will run on 11/7) to earn their shirt for this season. This team has truly showed up and showed out this season, and we are so proud of them!
Our second grade students had so much fun visiting Lever Farms yesterday! Fall is in the air!
Mrs. Foster's Visual Arts Fellows club worked together to transform hundreds of individual student creations into one large organic shape. By arranging the pieces and blending values across color families, they created "Spectrum of Creativity" - a unified installation representing how every individual student comes together to make our school community whole.
We're THRILLED to announce that Mrs. Jennings has been selected as the 2026 South Carolina Dance Association Dance Educator of the Year! Way to to, Mrs. Jennings!

On Friday, we recognized National PTO Appreciation Day (Saturday, 9/26), and we truly believe we have the best PTO around! Our PTO continuously supports our school, students and staff through thoughtful gifts, duty-free lunches, special events, and countless acts of kindness throughout the year.
Today, we want to take a moment to say thank you for all they do. Your dedication, generosity, and unwavering support help make SRAA a wonderful place to learn, grow. and shine! We appreciate you more than words can express!

Reminder: Today is an Early Release Day. All students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. Please note that BeGreat Academy and Ezekiel Ministries will be closed today. All students must go home as either a bus rider or a car rider. Please notify your child's teacher of how your student will be getting home this morning.
🎉SRAA was one of 11 SC schools selected as a National Banner Unified Champion School! 🎉This recognition celebrates schools that are making inclusion a real part of their school culture. We got here through the work we’ve done with Unified Champions, Special Olympics, student leadership, inclusive activities, and most importantly, the everyday ways we work to make sure our students feel like they belong. The nation seeing our efforts is amazing, but knowing our students get to experience it daily is the real award!
Day 4 of National Arts in Education Week took us on a trip through time! 🕺✨ Our staff celebrated Dance Through the Decades by dressing in styles from their favorite eras, from the groovy 70s to the iconic 80s, 90s, and beyond. What a fun way to honor the arts and the creativity that connects generations!
Day 3 of National Arts in Education Week had our staff celebrating Music Makes Us Move! 🎵 From band and artist T-shirts to music-themed outfits and musician-inspired looks, our teachers and staff showed students how music inspires creativity, expression, and learning every day at SRAA!

This week is National Arts in Education Week! And we're CELEBRATING throughout the week! Monday is Make Your Mark Monday. Teachers were asked to wear art-inspired colors or an outfit covered in patterns, paint, or creativity. Check out how a few of our teachers made their mark!

Lexington Two uses the I Love U Guys Standard Response Protocols for security and medical events. :Families received an email from the district in early August explaining these protocols. However, you don't need much time to get the overview -- watch this video of students titled: "5 Minutes, 5 Actions: The Standard Response Protocol (SRP)" in English language and Spanish language.
