The Bobcat Players

Saluda River’s Bobcat Players is a group of 4th & 5th grade students who are interested in delving deeper into the theatre process. Members still attend their weekly Theatre class during the school day, but also meet after school on Tuesdays. On March 27th, The Bobcat Players will perform Seussical Kids.

As part of their production process, students will engage in character backstory work, text analysis, scene-writing, singing, dancing, and more. In October, they will perform scenes at Busbee Creative Arts Academy’s Dessert Cabaret, and participate in a state theatre festival in April!

SRAA's Bobcat Players toured a real chocolate factory at The Peanut Man shop in Columbia. This trip was inspired by their performance of "Willy Wonka Kids". This experience allowed them to see how a real chocolate factory works and how chocolate products are made. At the end of the tour, students performed a piece from the musical for patrons of the shop!
